The most famous beaches in the Mediterranean stand out in front of your eyes. The Maddalena archipelago tour surrounds you with the embrace of the sea and with the quality of the services offered.
La Maddalena and the other islands, discover the marvel
Nature has colors that are capable of surprising. In northern Sardinia there is an archipelago in which the shades of emerald of the sea have become legend, the pink sand a coveted spectacle and the immaculate coasts a mirage of relaxation. It is the archipelago of the La Maddalena islands, the location of our boat excursions.
The Island of Spargi, the Island of Santa Maria, the Island of Budelli, are some of the names of these prized locations. Here the roar of the sea sings clear music like water itself. It is not poetry, we are not exaggerating. We are trying to describe the Archipelago of La Maddalena to those who do not know it.
Lady Luna 2 is a company that has been operating in this area for years, born from the will of people who are strongly linked to this land, the marine environment and the history that distinguishes it. This is why we talk about it with so much enthusiasm. Wild nature has accompanied us all these years, we are its custodians, and we want to share it with those who want and know how to appreciate it.
Why is the Archipelago of La Maddalena considered so unique?
Because this area contains in a relatively small territory a considerable amount of wonders. The sixty islands that are part of it make up a constellation of suggestive places, perfect for those who love the sea in its most authentic meaning.
The itinerary of the boat tours with Lady Luna 2 skims them, passing through the sea canals and skirting the shallows that offer the spectacle of transparent water with its precious shades of turquoise, emerald and bright blue.
The flora and fauna of the islands of the Maddalena Archipelago
The low urbanization and the minimized human impact have preserved the natural balance intact, leaving the Mediterranean flora and fauna the opportunity to thrive.
Some unique species in the world have chosen these coasts to continue living.
Among the plants, the Silene velutina and the Cynomorium coccineum stand out. The passage between Sardinia and Corsica represents a point of great importance for marine fauna, and is also part of the area called the Sanctuary for marine mammals. In addition, there are rare species of birds, such as the Shearwater, the Stormbird and the Corsican Gull. To continue giving value to this heritage, we work respecting the rules of the Maddalena Park and the safety standards that allow us to protect the complex balance of an uncontaminated habitat.
National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena
The excursion to the islands is centered on that part between Sardinia and Corsica known as the Strait of Bonifacio. It is here that the turquoise sea gives way to islands and islets, giving life to a small, great paradise of high naturalistic value, placed under special protection: the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. The institution encloses and protects a land area of 5,100 hectares and a marine surface of 15,046 hectares, with 180 kilometers of coastline.
Since 2010, part of the territory has been included in the project for the establishment of the Bocche di Bonifacio International Park, another institution of great importance for the protection of the biodiversity of the area. The typical environment of these waters is shaped by the wind that caresses the inlets, majestic natural landings.
